The Sole E25 Elliptical Trainer - a
Budget-Priced Model with a Commercial Feel
The Sole E25 elliptical trainer has been
named a “best buy” cross trainer for two years now. It has exceptional value for
a mid-range elliptical machine, but that fact is not surprising considering it
comes from one of the most respected names among elliptical manufacturers.
For a budget-priced model, the Sole E25 elliptical trainer is a gorgeous machine
that comes with all the advanced technology found on higher-end models, in
particular we are talking about the articulating footpads, the heavy-duty
flywheel, the electronics, and extended warranties (lifetime frame; 3
years on parts and electronics; 1 year labor). The Sole E25 delivers a
commercial machine feel for just over $1000.
Cool Features
The Sole E25 elliptical trainer features 6 programs, 20
resistance levels, a wireless pulse rate monitor, telemetry belt, cooling fan,
and MP3 plug-in capabilities to listen to your tunes through the elliptical
trainer’s built-in speakers.

We really like to have pulse grip monitoring located on the stationary bars, and
the Sole E25 has that too. Or, you can grab the handlebars and get an upper body
workout - an option usually not available in elliptical trainers in this price
range. The Sole E25 is great for a full body workout, cardio alone, or focus on
the lower body. And for a change-up, the long 20" stride length can be used in
both forward and backward directions.

Take note of the oversize foot pedals which have a slight 2 degree inward slope.
This reduces stress on the knees and ankles, and is a “must have” feature
in elliptical designs. Another feature on the Sole E25 elliptical
trainer, one usually found only on health club models, is the presence of the
four wheels on the rear. They ride on heavy duty rails to provide a more stable
feel and thereby reduce any side-to-side foot pedal motion.
Backed Up By Customer Service
As with any elliptical machine, just do a bit of proper preventive maintenance
(basically keep the wheel tracks clean and inspect and tighten bolts
occasionally) and it will give you years of use. However, if you do have trouble
with your unit, you have piece of mind in knowing that Sole offers some of the
best customer service in the business.
Which “E-Series” Elliptical Is Right For You?
Overall, Sole elliptical reviews focus on the fact that Sole sells awesome
elliptical trainers at incredible prices. We haven’t heard about mechanical or
electronic problems with any of the line of “E-Series” models, and find them to
be worthy of all the hype. The great appeal of the Sole E25 is that it has all
of the important features of its more pricey siblings, but just fewer programs.
If you only use the manual setting, or two or three programs, you can easily
save $300 by buying the E25 over the E35. The Sole E25 elliptical trainer sells
online for around $1100, shipping included.
